In ZooMonitor, you’ll see two data recording modules: Behavioral Observations and Instantaneous Observations.  Knowing which to choose depends on the type of data you want to record.

Behavioral Observations Module

In this module, you can record behavior and space use data using standardized sampling methodologies over a user-defined observation period. You can manually create a list of behaviors to observe (i.e., ethogram) and upload habitat map images to track space use locations.

Instantaneous Observations Module

With this module, you record can track qualitative rating scores for individuals.  You can also link images to these scores.  For instance, you can create a body condition scoring system and include image examples of each body condition rating score.
